provide housing for black migrant labourer’s during apartheid era. Today the township has grown significantly
and is home to people of all ethnic groups from the 14 regions of Namibia who
have all adopted a unified and harmonious way of living. Diverse cultural pride and joy is felt in
every corner of Mondesa. We invite you to meet and interact with the locals in
the heartbeat of Swakopmund.
